London-listed Range has taken the St Mary’s block after the country’s Ministry of Energy & Energy Affairs handed out awards on Monday.
Australian junior Range has taken the four sub-blocks totaling around 44,731 acres where the main targets are Pliocene Deltaic sands, Miocene Herrera sands, Cretaceous sands and the source rock itself.
Calgary-based independent Touchstone Exploration’s subsidiary Primera Oil & Gas won the Ortoire block, covering some 44,500 acres.
