The 07/03-CD-1X well was drilled usingthe semi-submersibledrilling rig Ocean General to a depth of 3537 metres but failed toencounter any hydrocarbons.
Thewell was targeting Miocene reservoirs in a tilted fault trap similarto the Ca Rong Do structure, which lies on the same block, andencountered the main objective sequence as prognosed but partner PanPacific Petroleum said no oil or gas was present.
