The deal was subject to a number of closing conditions, including a 90% minimum acceptance rate.
With the deal not going through, all acceptances of the offer will be cancelled.
The board of Jacka initially supported the takeover offer, but withdrew its support earlier this year when conditions had not been met in relation to Galp’s farm-in to Tangiers’ Moroccan permits by a 1 February deadline.
