Speaking to delegates at SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, Gould said that the North Sea must adapt and innovate in its operations and processes to stay in production in years to come.
“Failure to do this will accelerate the decline of the basin as an economic proposition,” he said. “Success will not only prolong the life of the North Sea but will provide the basis for a competitive offering in many other parts of the world.”
