The new HXI 150t utilises the same hydraulic motor and gear train as the larger system, generating 24,000 foot pounds of drilling torque.
The smaller unit was built in response to customers asking for better rig integration, smaller footprint and mobility.
Complementing the new top drive, Tesco has also created a lighter weight version of its casing drive system.
