The well was drilled to a depth of 800 metres and encountered an eight-metre gas-bearing interval of similar quality to the AKK15 well which lies about five kilometres to the north-west.
Analysis of data from AKK19 showed a pay zone twice as thick as that intersected in the AKK15, which tested gas at a stable rate of about 7 million cubic feet of gas per day.
