The AKK17 well was drilled to a totaldepth of 653 metres and hit a four-metre gas bearing interval in theTasaransand with an average porosity of 31%.
Tethyssaid analysis data from the well indicated it was similar to theAKK15 well, about 2.2 kilometres south-west, which also hit afour-metre gas bearing interval of similar quality and flowed at astable rate of about 7 million cubic feet per day.
