The company revealed on Thursday it wascarrying out a 3100 square kilometre multi-client seismic survey which will coversimilar Jurassic targets as the OMV’s Wisting light oil discovery.
The shoot will be carried out using theGeco Eagle survey vessel and will extend TGS’ existing multi-year 3D Hoopcoverage to more than 20,000 square kilometres.
TGS is also carrying out a 6600 kilometre2D survey in the eastern part of the Norwegian Barents Sea, including the newlyopened area in the former disputed Norway-Russia zone.
