Valeura said a TransAtlantic Petroleum-operated well drilled into the Teslimkoy formation has been tied in to a gathering system and flowing since then at an average restricted rate of about 3.3 million cubic feet per day on a 34/64-inch choke.

The well is the second of two horizontal wells in a pilot programme in the Tekirdag area.

It was drilled to a depth of around 1000 metres with a 617-metre lateral.
