The US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement had identified the problem in systems made by GE in rigs deployed in the Gulf of Mexico after a drilling fluid leak earlier this year.
The drilling contractor said its Noble Paul Wolff deep-water semisub, contracted to Brazil's Petrobras, was affected by the bolt issue and would incur about 46 days of downtime as a result.
