Samotlorneftegaz (SNG) beat Rosneft, Surgutneftegaz and oneother player to land the rights to drill on the Lodochnoye field, Russianregulator Rosnedra announced on Tuesday.

SNG put up 4.66 billion Russian rubles ($152 million) tobecome the highest bidder in the auction, Rosnedra said.

The field is located in Krasnoyarsk territory.

SNG was set up in 1999 following the restructuring of Nizhnevartovskneftegaz.It is TNK-BP’s largest producing asset and its biggest subsidiary.
