A source in the Paris-headquartered explorer who wished toremain anonymous confirmed to Upstream that the company had allowed itswholly-owned Chelm concession to lapse as of 31 March.

Total had held a 100% interest in the 1162-square kilometreChelm licence, situated in south-east Poland’s Lublin basin near the borderwith Ukraine.

Originally awarded to US supermajor ExxonMobil in March 2009,the Paris-headquartered  explorer farmedin to the licence on a 49% stake in 2011.
