The company on Monday reached agreement with Statoil for a 10% stake in production licence 395, containing the Ververis discovery. In exchange, Statoil will acquire a 10% interest in Total’s operated PL 535, which holds the Norvarg discovery. Both blocks are located on the Bjarmeland platform in the central Barents Sea.
In addition, Total has made a deal to acquire half of Det norske oljeselskap’s 20% stake in PL 535.
