The 1998-rebuilt unit, capable of drilling up to 30,000 feet, will be working at a dayrate of $370,000 through March 2015, drilling contractor Transocean said in its latest fleet status report.
The rig had been idle after drilling a trio of non-commercial wells for Brazil independent HRT off Namibia.
The rig contractor has also booked its semi-submersible Transocean Arctic to a two-well gig with OMV in the Norwegian North Sea.
