The Shell work for Alaska will be at a day rate of $620,000 during the July-October summer period and $589,000 during the off-season for the three years, according to Transocean's latest fleet status report.
The 1985-built floater is capable of working in up to 1500 feet of water and drilling to 25,000 feet.
