The Zug, Switzerland-based company said its GSF Galaxy III jack-up would work as an accommodation rig for two and a half months at a day rate of $180,000 from May to July 2014.
The unit had previously been on contract with Nexen in the UK North Sea since July 2013 at a day rate of $226,000.
The brief extension was the only new contract reported in the company's fleet status update, which added that its semi-submersible Development Driller I was idle.
