The Tullow Oil veterans behind the new venture are former chairman Pat Plunkett, former exploration manager Gerry Sheehan, former Africa director Andrew Windham and former general manager of projects Matt O’Donoghue.
Speaking to Upstream, Raglan Capital managing director Cathal Friel said that the new venture was “days away” from completing a €5 million ($6.8 million) seed capital fundraising.
Raglan Capital is the primary initial investor in T5 Oil & Gas, to be based at the corporate financier's offices in Dublin that are also home to Fastnet Oil & Gas and are where Cove Energy started in 2009.
