Crude oil and natural gas liquids production declined 8.8%, in line with a long termtrend that has seen overall production from the UK continental shelf slide by13.4% in 2011 and by 10.7% in 2012, DECC said.
“Crude oil imports again exceeded UK production, though theUK still exported significant quantities, with production still exceeding netimports,” the department’s report said.
