The ship designer and builder said on Monday that Island Ventures II, a partnership between Norway-headquartered Island Offshore and US-based company Edison Chouest Offshore, had contracted the Ulstein Verft shipyard to build one of the vessels.
Ulstein will provide design and engineering packages for the second vessel to be constructed at Edison’s own yard in the US.
Both OCVs will be built to Ulstein’s newly-developed SX 165 design, which measures 28 metres wide and 145.7
