Central Sale 231 brought in offers for 326 blocks from 42 companies, which will be read tomorrow when bids are opened in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, the agency said Tuesday.
The count of offers came close last year's sale, which attracted 407 bids on 320 blocks. Fifty-two companies participated and offered $1.6 billion in bids.
The BOEM will also reveal offers for three blocks in the US western planning area near the maritime border with Mexico, where awards had been delayed pending the signing of a transboundary hydrocarbons treaty.
