The junior explorer said it was in “advanced discussions with the vendors of a company holding an interest in a prospective offshore asset”.
It did not name the target asset or where in the Far East it is based.
If any deal goes through it will be an all-shares deal.
The acquisition would “bring with it a highly experienced, well-known and successful board level management team”, Wessex said.
