Services company Wood Group is set to continue its work on the joint-industry subsea well response project (SWRP).
Wood Group was first contracted by Shell on behalf of the SWRP partners in 2012 and said on Monday it would continue to work on the project until the end of 2014.
Since commencing the multi-million pound project Wood Group Kenny has delivered the engineering design of subsea equipment, design verification of well testing and topside equipment, as well as the development of subsea well containment guidelines for the further engineering study phase of the project.
