The company, which operates the project with a 16.67% interest, said on Monday that first gas had been exported to the Karratha gas plant on the northern coast of Western Australia.
The North Rankin redevelopment project was approved by Woodside and its joint venture partners in March 2008.
The project involved the construction and installation of a second platform, North Rankin B, and modification and refurbishment of the existing North Rankin A platform.
