The largest of its type ever built in Brazil, the 180,000-bpd semisubmersible will be key to helping Petrobras ramp up production to meet targets.

It will be anchored at a depth of 1800 metres and will be linked to 11 producer wells and six injection wells.

Petrobras says the 52,000-tonne unit was built with 79% local content at shipyards including the hull at Estaleiro Atlantico Sul (EAS) in Pernambuco with other works realised at Polo Naval in Rio Grande do Sul.

The
