The final sections of the turret are to be loaded out of Dyna-Mac’s yard in Singapore this week and will head to Hyundai Heavy Industries yard in Ulsan, South Korea, where they will be integrated into the Glen Lyon floating production, storage and offloading vessel being constructed for the Quad 204 project.
Dyna-Mac officials told Upstream that new technology used in the state-of-the-art turret presented new technical challenges during fabrication but these were overcome without significant impact to the delivery schedule.
