That figure tallies production from about 90 wells in the area, where a total of 14 drilling teams are working, a figure expected to increase to 20 by year's end, said YPF, which has disclosed few details on its development progress since the Argentine government seized control last year.
According to a Sunday statement, YPF claims it has drilled 51 wells in the year between July 2013 and June 2012, a figure that tripled the average of 18 drilled between 2007 and 2011, according to the company.
