TORONTO-listed CGX Energy hopes to extend the work programme on a second permit off Guyana after successfully negotiating for more time to spud its planned wildcat on the Corentyne block there.
Previously, CGX was required to spud the Corentyne well by the end of October but the administration of newly-elected President David Granger has moved the deadline back to 31 July 2016, CGX said.
