The torch will arrive in the Scottish oil capital on Monday11 June – day 24 of its 12,000-kilometre journey – and head along Union Streetbefore an evening of celebrations at the Castlegate.
It will set off early the next morning from supermajor BP’sNorth Sea headquarters in Dyce.
A BP spokesman told Cuttings that onshore and offshoreemployees in the North Sea business, as well as some family members and localstakeholders, will have the honour of carrying the torch and that celebrationswill see it on its way.
