The demonstration was held in Kensington near the Copthorne Tara hotel, where SMi Group regularly hosts conferences and other industry events, and close to the UK’s Romanian Embassy.
The Frack Off group says its latest protest was held in solidarity with fellow campaign groups in Romania and Bulgaria. Authorities in Bulgaria recently imposed an indefinite moratorium on the extraction technique pending further study.
