High oil prices coupled with particularly heavy rain this summer in Canada have made for a big sales increase for the Canadian unit of a company that specialises in harsh weather gear.
“The fastest-growing province for us (in terms of wholesale sales) would be Alberta, hands down,” said Helly Hansen’s vice president of sales and marketing Shawn Amirault.
“Any products related to oil and gas that the workers in that field are using have been heavily in demand.”
