Some know it as the Granite City, some as they Grey City, others as the Silver City with the Golden Sands. But after black gold was found beneath the North Sea in the 1970s Aberdeen became known as Europe’s oil capital, though nowadays, with the province becoming increasingly mature, the city is going through yet another rebranding, this time positioning itself to become the Energy Capital of Europe.
