Two of the chief objectives in characterising deepwater reservoirs are managing geologic uncertainty and turning qualitative information about a reservoir into realistic predictions of fluid flow and reservoir performance.
Many pieces come together to help flesh out that picture, including logs providing detailed information at the reservoir sands, temperature and formation pressure measurements, downhole fluid sampling and analysis, phase behaviour analysis, permeability and producibility.
