The company will provide mooring lines for the four-column semisubmersible at Shell’s Appomattox development in the Gulf of Mexico.
The platform will be moored in 7200-foot (2195-metre) water depths using 16 lines. Lankhorst Ropes will supply 78 rope lengths totalling more than 63,000 metres of the company’s Gama 98 polyester rope, which will be manufactured in the company’s factory in Viana de Castelo, Portugal.
