The dredger can move one metric ton of rocks on the seabed per minute, STS says.
In the trials, the Predator unit was attached to a Triton XL26 work class ROV. Nine metric tons of rocks measuring 50-60 mm were deposited on the seabed and arranged to mimic a range of typical terrains. Dredging was completed in less than nine minutes.
