SBM has taken this hose, developed it further, and encased it in the same traditional single-carcass marine floating hose as is widely used for oil transfer.
The company´s 18-inch bore cryogenic hose has an external diameter of 28 inches. That five-inch wall thickness begins with the inner composite hose.
This is wrapped in about three inches of insulating fleece.
All this is then encased in an outer elastomeric hose from Goodyear which acts as a protective and watertight cover.
