The supermajor joins the JIP at what Viper Subsea deemed “a crucial phase of development” with a shallow-water trial of the technology under way near the company’s Portishead, UK, headquarters.
V-IR brings together Viper Subsea’s V-LIM and V-SLIM products into a system that provides a complete subsea distribution system electrical integrity map, according to the company. The V-SLIM units are installed at strategic subsea locations within the electrical distribution network of both brownfield and greenfield developments.
