He has spent most of his time in recent years teaching in various universities including Robert Gordon University, Newcastle University and the University of Singapore.
Loth is a great believer in cheap wells – he says that what the industry really needs is the subsea equivalent of onshore stripper wells – and is a big advocate of cemented completions for wells with a short expected life.
