The Acergy vessel is the second of two conversions of vessels for advanced flexpipe laying and subsea construction in water depths to 2000 metres that this contractor has brought into service this year.
Pertinacia is already at work off Brazil long-term for Petrobras, and now Polar Queen is en route to West Africa and Total's Moho-Bilondo project off Congo-Brazzaville, after spooling on lengths of riser pipe and umbilical at the Kalundborg base of NKT in Denmark.
