IWOCS, used to test, control and monitor functions on a range of subsea equipment such as wellheads and manifolds, are increasingly used for flow assurance and preventive maintenance as more fields are developed as subsea tiebacks and longer distance step-outs.

The new deployment system is the second generation of Caley’s topside handling equipment designed for IWOCS. The UK-based company says the new system uses less deck space and is safer and more efficient than a conventional IWOCS reeler and sheave arrangement.
