By the end of 2015, as many as 15,000 jobs could be lost in the region, Ian Wood forecast in February. While that number may prove to be on the high side, there is little doubt that the downturn’s ripple effects have yet to be fully felt throughout the supply chain.
That is the gloomy backdrop for this year’s Offshore Europe Conference & Exhibition in Aberdeen, a city that has seen more than a few industry ups and downs.
