Planning for a field development in high-pressure, high-temperature areas like the Lower Tertiary begins early in the project’s life ­cycle, says Neil Mackintosh, president of Worley Parsons’ Intecsea subsea unit.

The company worked on design for Hess’ Tubular Bells, a 15,000 pounds per square inch system that came online last year.

It also carried out pre-front-end engineering and design and FEED for Stampede and is currently working on detailed design and execution.
