The gig for the dynamically positioned unit will kick off in the third quarter of 2015 and is estimated to add backlog of $425 million to Rowan, the drilling contractor said on Friday.
That works out to an approximate day rate of $582,191.
The GustoMSC P10,000 unit is capable of working in 12,000 feet of water and drilling up to 40,000 feet.
