Peru's Ministry of Energy & Mines (MEM) and energy regulator Osinerg have carried out an emergency review of the Texas-based company following four gas spills from the line in just 15 months of operation.
The latest spill, on 24 November, spread 6000 barrels of oil equivalent into the rainforests of the Machiguenga Communal Reserve.
As a result, hundreds of Machiguenga Indians have blockaded an adjacent river in protest over the past five days.
