The contract covers Chevron's assets on Barrow Island, off Western Australia, and is for the operation and maintenance of support facilities and associated utilities.

The assets covered under the contract include water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation and distribution systems, as well as the management and maintenance of various buildings, vehicles, plant and equipment.

Chevron has produced more than 320 million barrels of oil from Barrow Island since discovered oil on the island in 1964 and the Class A nature reserve is also home to the US company's Gorgon liquefied natural gas development.
