Rafael Ramirez, energy minister and PDVSA president, said earlier this week the company had fended off a "massive" hacking attempt of its computer system as well as "attempts to affect industry facilities" in the Maracaibo region.
"All of PDVSA is alert ahead of fascism's plans to attack gasoline stations and transport," Ramirez said via his Twitter account Friday.
"Workers and the GNB are on guard," he said, referring to Venezuela's national guard.
