The deal will officially give operator Total a 60% stake in the Aquio and Ipati blocks, with Gazprom on 20% and Argentina's Tecpetrol on 20%.

Documents were signed in La Paz on Friday by YPFB president Carlos Villegas, Vladimir Burdakov, general manager of Gazprom's Bolivia unit and Jose Ignacio Sanz, general manager of Total's local affiliate.

The terms of the agreement were first agreed to in 2010 but the final government signoff took years longer.
