APL said the potential contract is for a disconnectable STP turret mooring system, including design, fabrication and commissioning.
The project is a fast-track development and will use a floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
Aker Floating Production is targeting first oil by mid-February 2008, but full-scale production is not expected to begin before the first quarter of 2009.
