The semi-submersible Stena Clyde spudded Caldita-2 on 4 December 2006 in block NT/P69.

Last September's Caldita-1 gas discovery tested at about 33 million cubic feet per day from a significant hydrocarbon column.

It was drilled by the Diamond Offshore semi-submersible Ocean Bounty in water depths of 137 metres.

The NT/P69 licence is owned by operator ConocoPhillips (60%) and Santos (40%).

The pair have just completed with the Stena Clyde the Barossa-1 exploration well in 233 metres of water, also in NT/P69 some 30 kilometres from Caldita.
