It is the largest 3D survey ever carried out off Senegal and is part of a wider programme that has already seen Italy's Edison’s shoot 1500 square kilometres with the same vessel, said Hunt's project partner First Australian Resources (FAR).
Hunt's sweep is in the Sangomar Offshore Block, while Edison's was in the Rufisque Deep Offshore Block, which lies next to Hunt's.
