Their joint company called K Line Offshore is building two two large anchor handling tug and supply vessels and four large platform supply vessels at Aker Yards in Norway.
The investment is driven by expected strong growth in oil and gas exploration and production, especially in deeper waters, said the two partners.
The six dynamically-positioned 95-metre-long vessels are due for delivery in a staged manner between December 2010 and July 2011.
